Responsibilities

As a Unit Manager/Director - RN within an assigned unit, you will support the Director of Nursing with the delivery of high-quality care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and ensuring patient/resident, family, and employee satisfaction.

• Lead, guide, and direct the overall operations, coordination, and delivery of nursing and patient/resident care for an assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure that patient/resident care delivery aligns with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Genesis Healthcare, and complies with accepted standards of practice, state, and federal regulations and licensing requirements.
• Collaborate with staff, physicians, rehabilitation therapy, and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients on the assigned nursing unit.
• Manage human resources within the assigned unit, including limiting overtime and agency personnel usage, recruiting and orienting staff, assessing nursing staff performance, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing is required.
