Job summary

Riverside Health System in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality resident care in a full-time day shift. The role reports to the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing and requires coordinating nursing services with other disciplines to ensure positive resident outcomes.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, developing and evaluating care plans, communicating with providers, residents and families, and maintaining dignity and safety

Qualifications

• RN license required (Virginia).
• CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assigns duties to professional and non-professional staff according to education, training, policy and resident need. Engages team members for optimal performance and addresses performance as needed to assure quality resident care is delivered.
• Develops, implements and evaluates resident plans of care. Communicates plan of care to providers, residents, families and staff. Identifies changes in condition with proper documentation following the Interact process. Demonstrates consistent follow through for positive resident outcomes. Utilizes good judgment and specialized skills. Demonstrates the ability to manage a typical nursing unit.
• Allows resident choices within limits of capability considering safety /dignity issues and follows policies and procedures of facility to include resident privacy and dignity.
