Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is seeking an RN Unit Coordinator for the Med Surg/Specialties Unit. The role involves clinical leadership, improving safety and workflow, and supporting staff while maintaining high-quality patient care on days (7am–7pm).

You will manage scheduling and coordinate nursing activities on a busy 24-bed unit. Required BSN/MSN or RN Doctorate with active Virginia license and BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing (RN).
• 18 months nursing experience required.
• BSN, MSN, or RN Doctorate from an accredited school; BLS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing care in assigned specialty area and support department leadership.
• Improve safety and quality initiatives and streamline workflow.
• Promote excellent customer service and staff development.
