Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is seeking an RN Trauma Performance Improvement (PI) Coordinator to lead trauma program efforts from patient arrival to discharge. You will collaborate with the Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director to review cases, analyze performance, and drive improvements that meet ACS standards.

You will identify PI opportunities, document activities, and present findings at multidisciplinary meetings.

Qualifications

• RN with current licensure
• ACLS, BCLS Instructor, or TNCC Instructor credentials within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate degree in nursing or related field
• Experience in trauma or PI coordination preferred

Responsibilities

• Review trauma cases in real time and retrospectively to assess quality and adherence to ACS/state standards
• Identify performance-improvement opportunities and support action plans
• Coordinate and document Trauma PI activities, events, data elements, and registry information for verification
• Prepare and present cases, trends, and quality findings for PI and trauma meetings
• Educate clinical teams and EMS on trauma PI principles and best practices
• Collaborate on guideline development, research, verification prep, and service-line improvements
