Job summary

Methodist Healthcare in Texas is seeking an RN Trauma PI Coordinator to lead performance improvement and patient safety initiatives across the Trauma Department. You will collaborate with the TMD and TPM/TPD, drive adverse event investigations, and implement action plans to improve patient outcomes in line with DSHS standards.

The role requires nursing licensure in Texas, recent Critical Care or Emergency experience, and TNCC/ATLS/ENPC or PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum three years of recent hospital nursing experience in Critical Care or Emergency nursing required.
• Must have current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas and current BLS.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) and/or Instructor, or ATLS/ENPC or PALS.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PIPS activities with the TMD and TPM/TPD to ensure Trauma Program quality assurance.
• Identify adverse events and implement action plans with measurable outcomes.
• Develop and implement systems for performance improvement within the trauma service line.
• Assist in developing, implementing and evaluating the Trauma PIPS Plan.
• Complete case reviews to meet DSHS standards and improve patient care.
