Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN preferred for this role.
• 1+ year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (ACLS within 1 year of employment).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to achieve planned outcomes.
• Notes and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with materials considering cultural issues.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.

About This Role

The RN in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus will provide specialized post-resuscitation critical care for patients with complex traumatic injuries. This role is ideal for experienced nurses looking to contribute to a new unit and shape best practices in trauma care.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience:

• 1+ year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Will consider military RN experience

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within one year of employment
