Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a New Graduate RN for the Trauma Intensive Care Unit in Cleveland, OH. You will begin your nursing career in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, providing specialized care for traumatic injuries and building a solid critical care foundation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• RN license in good standing.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required upon hire or within the first year of employment.
• New grad or less than one year RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity, preference, and resource availability.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

Education

What You'll Do

Requirements

Education:

Experience:

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience
• If experienced RN, must have less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon hire or within the first year of employment
