Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the region’s largest hospital and a Magnet-designated center renowned for trauma care. This role focuses on education of healthcare providers, coordination of patient-centered education, and regional trauma programs.

The Education Specialist leads high-level courses (ATLS/TNCC/TNS) and collaborates with departments to ensure ACS standards and CME opportunities are met.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred
• 5–10 years of experience in trauma education or related field

Responsibilities

• Acts as course director for ATLS and TNCC as required by trauma center verification
• Designs and delivers trauma education for inpatient care providers
• Leads development of CME activities and collaborates with university partners
• Coordinates trauma education programs across the East Region (including TNNC)
• Recruits instructors and manages course budgets and audits
