Job summary

Baylor Scott and White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a Transfer Coordinator RN to facilitate patient transfers within the system. The role focuses on coordinating with physicians, nurses, and referring facilities to ensure timely access to services and smooth hospital stays.

This position is onsite with a night shift from 7pm to 7am and rotating weekends. Requirements include an Associate's degree, an RN license, and at least three years of clinical experience, preferably in critical care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant field is required.
• A minimum of three years of work experience.
• Possessing a valid and current registered nurse (RN) license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient transfers by collaborating with physicians, nurses, and departments.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication with referring physicians.
• Ensure documentation is clear, concise and compliant with standards.
• Oversee Transfer Center Room Control Coordinator duties.
• Follow protocols to collect information from other institutions.
