Job summary

George Washington University Hospital in downtown Washington, DC, is seeking an RN-Transfer Coordinator to develop, coordinate, and enhance the Transfer Center program. You will promote staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients and help implement interdisciplinary strategies for coordinated patient care.

Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure efficient transfers, adherence to transfer regulations, and delivery of high-quality patient outcomes within a busy tertiary care setting.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• 3 years nursing experience in critical care or trauma setting.
• CCRN preferred.
• Knowledge of EMTALA and transfer regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, enhances and executes the Transfer Center program.
• Promotes staff proficiency in care of transferred patients.
• Assists with development and implements interdisciplinary strategies for coordinated patient care.
