Job summary

George Washington University Hospital is seeking an RN-Transfer Coordinator to develop and coordinate the Transfer Center program in collaboration with the COO and Transfer Center Medical Director. This role promotes staff proficiency in care of transferred patients and supports interdisciplinary strategies for coordinated patient transfers.

The position requires a BSN (Master's preferred) and 3 years of critical care or trauma nursing experience, with CCRN and EMTALA knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

  • BSN required; Master's preferred.
  • 3 years nursing experience in critical care or trauma care setting.
  • CCRN preferred; Knowledge of EMTALA and transfer regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and enhance the Transfer Center program.

Position Summary:

In collaboration with the Chief Operating Officer and the Transfer Center Medical Director, the RN-Transfer Coordinator develops, coordinates, enhances and executes the Transfer Center program.Promotes staff proficiency in the care of transferred patients. Assists with development and implements interdisciplinary strategies for providing a coordinated care program for transferred patients.

Qualifications
Education/Qualification
  • BSN Required; Master's preferred
  • 3 years nursing experience in critical care or trauma care setting
  • CCRN preferred
