Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Coordinator for Medical City Plano. The role centers on coordinating patient transfers, bed placement, and throughput across HCA facilities, collaborating with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff to ensure safe, efficient patient movement.

Ideal candidates will have a nursing degree, an RN license, and at least 3 years of acute care experience. The position requires strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
• Minimum of 3 years’ related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred)
• RN License in the states where the HCA facilities for that Division are located – multi-state license required if Transfer Center covers more than a single state

Responsibilities

• Performs transfer center functions with centralized patient placement.
• Coordinates transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to a final destination facility.
• Facilitates patient throughput with focus on quality and efficiency.
• Maintains accurate patient data in center workflow systems.
• Communicates with referring facilities, physicians and hospital staff regarding transfers and bed placements.
