Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an RN Coordinator to manage transfer center operations, patient placement, and bed management across facilities. You will collaborate with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital teams to optimize throughput and patient safety.

The role requires a nursing degree, an RN license, and at least 3 years in acute care; you will coordinate emergent, urgent, and elective transfers, document accurately, and ensure compliant, efficient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED/CCU preferred).
• RN license in the states served by the division; multi-state license if Transfer Center covers multiple states.
• Demonstrated problem solving, analytical and critical thinking, prioritization, negotiation, and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Performs transfer center functions and centralized patient placement in a timely, patient-centered manner.
• Coordinates transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to final destination facilities.
• Facilitates patient throughput with focus on quality and efficiency, with follow-up to all participants.
• Promotes teamwork and effective collaboration with physicians, nurses, and hospital staff.
• Ensures accurate data collection and maintains records in center workflows and patient records.
