Job summary

St. Luke's Health System in Boise, Idaho, is seeking Telehealth Transfer RNs for an on-site, full-time night-shift role in the Telehealth Transfer team. The position supports provider consults and patient transfers with 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends/holidays. Sign-on and relocation assistance are available.

The role emphasizes clinical transfer coordination with emphasis on timely decisions to promote optimal patient care within a high-tech care center.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Nursing required, Bachelor of Nursing Degree preferred.
• Experience: 3+ year RN Experience; acute care highly preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current BLS Provider Certification through AHA or ARC

Responsibilities

• 24/7 Transfer Center support.
• Connect providers for consults, transfers, admissions, and patient placement.
• On-site, 12-hour night shifts (1900-0730), 3 days/week with rotating weekends/holidays.
• No direct interaction with patients in this role.
• Adept typing and strong teamwork/communication required.
• On site position in high tech facility; NOT REMOTE work.

St. Luke's Virtual Care Center

St. Luke's Virtual Care Center is in the heart of downtown Boise, surrounded by skiable mountains and raftable rivers. St. Luke's Telehealth Transfer team is responsible for supporting patient care to a higher level of care by connecting providers for consults, transfers, admissions, and placement of patients. Has the authority to enact decisions on an immediate basis that promotes best patient care.

What You Can Expect From This Role

• Transfer Center support is available 24/7
• Composed of both clinical and nonclinical personnel to ensure connection of providers to the appropriate location with required physician specialties
• Average call volume is 17,000 calls a month which includes an average of 2,400 new patient encounters
• No direct interaction with patients occurs in this role
• Teamwork, communication, and phone etiquette are key pieces for success in this department
• Adept typing skills required
• On site position in high tech facility; NOT REMOTE work
• Full-time (0.9 FTE), night shift 1900-0730, 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week. Rotating weekends/holidays required.
• Certification pay available
