Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Throughput Unit. The 10-bed unit handles a diverse patient mix, from direct admissions to pre-surgery and recovery, requiring careful coordination and clinical judgment.

The ideal candidate will meet the nursing program requirement, hold an active RN license with BLS, and have at least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing-approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum by leveraging the nursing process, administering treatments per protocol, and adapting care based on patient needs.
• Collaborate effectively with the care team while maintaining accurate documentation, supporting quality and safety initiatives, and upholding professional standards, ethics, and ongoing development (including flexibility to float as needed).
