Job summary

Rolling Hills Hospital, a 130-bed behavioral health facility in Franklin, Tennessee, is hiring TEMPORARY REGISTERED NURSES for night shifts (7p-7a). 3 or 4 month assignments are available and candidates must be able to work weekends. Premium pay applies.

The RN provides direct patient care, evaluates patients, and collaborates with the treatment team. Experience in inpatient psychiatric care and EMR use is required; Tennessee RN license and CPR are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Tennessee State Registered Nurse License required.
• Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• Handle with Care Certification.
• Experience in psychiatric setting as a nurse required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as prescribed by physician and treatment team.
• Manage assessment of patients and monitor data.
• Ensure environmental safety and crisis management for patient population.
• Direct implementation of behavior management programs and carry-through.
• Provide training and education to staff, patients, families; document care in master treatment plan.

Rolling Hills Hospital is a 130-bed behavioral health hospital in Franklin, Tennessee, providing inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use treatment services for adolescents, adults, and seniors. * Rolling Hills Hospital is hiring TEMPORARY REGISTERED NURSES for night-shift, 7p-7am.

* 3 or 4 month assignments are available.

* Candidates must be able to work weekends.

* Current UHS employees and former UHS employees within the past 6 months are not eligible to apply.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team. The RN provides medical management and assessment of patients; ensures environmental safety and crisis management for the patient population; directs the implementation of behavior management programs and ensures consistent carry-through. The Registered Nurse is responsible for making the patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The RN provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. The RN works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of inpatient psychiatric experiencewith adults and adolescents
• Experience with EMR (electronic medical record)
• Ability to work with all patient populations
• Flexibility and willingness to work all units
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Education/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school

Licensure/Certification:

Experience:

Experience in psychiatric setting as a nurse required; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes; effective oral and written communication skills; skills in analyzing and evaluating information; ability to concentrate on tasks and meet deadlines; basic data entry skills preferred; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management skills necessary; flexibility, creativity, and the ability to manage stress are necessary.
