Job summary

Rolling Hills Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a per diem pool position to add to our growing team. The RN will provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team, manage assessments, ensure safety, and help implement behavior management programs.

We value compassionate care in a behavioral health setting and encourage training of staff, patients, and families while maintaining accurate documentation in the master treatment plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associates degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Nursing experience in the behavioral health field preferred.
• One year inpatient psychiatric experience with adults and adolescents preferred.
• CPR certification (training provided)
• Handle with Care (HWC) certification (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as prescribed by the physician and treatment team.
• Medical management and assessment of patients; ensure environmental safety and crisis management.
• Direct implementation of behavior management programs and ensure carry-through by subordinates.
• Train and educate staff, patients, families; document patient care and update the master treatment plan.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to maintain a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Is responsible for making the patient and task assignments to subordinates and monitors their duties. The Registered Nurse provides training and education to staff, patients, families; documents patient care and ensures data is accurate and included in the master treatment plan via timely nursing care plan updates. Works with the treatment team to provide consistently therapeutic milieu.
