Job summary

Tenet Desert is seeking an RN Telemetry for a Night shift in Palm Springs, CA. The position is full time with an on-site location and a sign-on bonus based on experience.

The RN will maintain chemotherapy competency, perform daily assessments, interpret information for patient care, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate safe discharges and ongoing patient education.

Qualifications

• Current CA RN license is required.
• ADN or BSN required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Effective verbal and written communication and ability to maintain positive relationships with patients and families.
• Active listening skills.
• Compassionate, non-judgmental caregiver and advocate.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Must comply with Respiratory Fit Testing Protection Policy.
• Must complete EKG test within 60 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Maintain chemotherapy competency and comprehensive daily assessments per unit policy.
• Interpret patient information and tailor care to age-related needs.
• Ensure timely discharge planning with interdisciplinary teams.
• Initiate patient and family teaching and document progress.
• Collaborate with other disciplines for complex discharge planning.
