Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie, FL is hiring an RN for the Telemetry/Neurology unit to provide direct patient care on a night shift. You will monitor patients, update care plans, educate families, and coordinate discharge planning with the care team.

The role emphasizes compassion, detailed documentation, and adherence to clinical nursing protocols. A BSN or ADN/ Diploma with RN licensure and BLS; ACLS preferred; 1 year acute care experience required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience
• ACLS Certification preferred; obtain within one year of hire if not held

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocol.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families, considering cultural issues and other concerns.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Maintain professional growth through ongoing education and study.
