Qualifications

Active WA or compact RN license required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required.
Skilled in trach care, chest tube management, TR band care, post cath lab care, and central line maintenance.
Must be able to read, interpret, and measure cardiac rhythms.
Comfortable caring for patients on BiPAP and high flow oxygen.
Comfortable with titratable drips including diltiazem, amiodarone, heparin, digoxin, Bumex, and Lasix.

Responsibilities

Work on a 34-bed Tele/Onc unit within a 226-bed non-profit community hospital.
12-hour night shift schedule (7p-7a), 36 hours per week.
Weekend rotation required at least 2 times per month (Fri/Sat nights count as weekend).
No on-call responsibilities.
Floating required within scope throughout the hospital.
Cares for general medical, cardiac, and oncology patient populations.
High volume of post-cath lab procedures including TR bands and fresh cath patients requiring q15 min checks.
Not required to administer chemotherapy unless specifically requested.
Uses Epic EMR.
High Spanish-speaking (30%) and underserved patient population.
Provide compassionate, general nursing care to a diverse and underserved patient population.
Any scrub color permitted.
First-time travelers considered with at least 2 years total nursing experience, including 1 year in PCU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Tele/Onc position requiring cardiac drip titration skills and at least 1 year of PCU experience.

Requirements
