Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for Telemetry on a 13-week contract in California. The Tele floor cares for patients with complex conditions including stroke, heart failure, and respiratory failure. Responsibilities include reading telemetry strips, potential primary nursing duties, and caring for post-operative patients after cardiac catheterization.

Flexibility for weekends and holidays is required. EMR experience is preferred and nurses must be able to float to other units as needed 24/7

Qualifications

• RN license required and 2 years minimum experience in telemetry or critical care.
• Stroke certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience with high acuity telemetry and post-operative cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with complex medical conditions including stroke, heart failure, respiratory failure, diabetes, and hypertension.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and perform primary nursing duties when aide support is not available.
• Be available for two weekends every four weeks and work holidays as necessary.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 to 4; charge nurses usually do not take patients.
• Caring for post-operative patients and those recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Administer non-titratable IV medications; heparin titration may be performed.
• Emergency medical support, including respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, is available 24/7.
• Potential to float to other units as needed; prior EMR experience preferred.
• Possible shift cancellation policies affecting shift availability.
