Description:Must be able to titrate cardiac drips.Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract (2 maximum attempts).Exam must be completed within 48 hours of the offer.If the traveler fails, they will be removed from consideration for 6 months.There is also a pass/fail simulation on the first day of orientation.If the traveler fails the simulation, they will be sent home.They will also be removed from consideration for 6 months.Floating between all Tele and MedSurg units is required.Depending on skill level, nurses will float to higher acuity units.Floating may occur mid-shift.Notification of unit assignment will be provided 1.5 hours before the shift starts.Travel may be required between campuses, approximately 9 miles apart.Nurses must clock out when switching campuses and clock back in upon arrival.RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.Ratios vary by unit.Charge nurses do not take patient assignments.Weekend requirements are applicable.12-hour shifts are standard.Common diagnoses include post-operative patients, general tele, and neuro surgical cases.Team support includes respiratory therapy and pharmacy available 24/7.Nurses may float to other units based on need and skill level.All certification requirements must be maintained.
