Job summary

Journey in Frederick, MD is seeking an experienced RN to lead the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants, ensuring care quality and compliance with current regulations and facility policies. The role emphasizes holistic resident care, involvement in admissions/discharges/transfers, and timely documentation.

Must hold an RN license in the practicing state and current CPR certification; opportunities for professional development and benefits

Qualifications

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
Current CPR certification.
Current RN license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
Ensures that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
Assesses for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
