Job summary

Burke's IDDAuthority - Lufkin, TX seeks a Registered Nurse Team Lead to assess, implement, and evaluate healthcare needs for Burke clients. Supervises LVN nurses and travels in Burke's 11-county region, with after-hours rotation as required.

The RN will monitor treatment plans, coordinate with medical professionals, provide staff training, and ensure continuity of care across residential and community settings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas license to practice as an RN.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training.
• Willingness to participate in required on-call rotation and after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and evaluate healthcare needs for individuals of all ages receiving Burke services.
• Monitor, assess, plan, and implement treatment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Provide nursing services in residential and community settings.
• Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate healthcare needs.
• Provide staff and family training and consultation regarding individual needs.
• Conduct medication monitoring and reconciliation.
• Complete comprehensive and focused nursing assessments.
• Help ensure continuity of care for individuals served.
• Travel throughout Burke's 11-county service region as required.
