Job summary

Burke is seeking a Residential Assistant in Lufkin, TX to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-like setting. The role includes guiding daily living activities and providing active treatment under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a Texas driver’s license with reliable transportation, and completion of SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training. Benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Must complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, supervision, and support with day-to-day living activities.
• Provide active treatment services as scheduled.
• Assist the Day Programmer with scheduled active treatment.
• Promote a positive, safe, and home-like environment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the group home.
• Complete daily documentation, including activity notes, medication inventory records, and progress reports.
• Complete additional documentation as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other professionals supporting individuals in the home.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
