Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking an RN Team Lead to act as a formal and informal leader on the unit, coordinating daily planning and patient care. The TL delegates tasks by skill level, oversees staff development, and helps ensure efficient patient flow within the Mayo Nursing Care Model.

Responsibilities include direct patient care when needed, teaching, quality improvements, and participation in research. Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an associate degree or diploma in a nursing program.
• One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting is also required.
• Current RN licensure by applicable state requirements.
• Maintains current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate nursing care on the unit, delegating tasks by skill and acuity.
• Support planning, staff development, teaching, and quality improvement activities.
• Provide direct patient care when needed and ensure safe patient flow and resource use.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate transitions of care.
• Participate in evidence-based practice, research, and Mayo Nursing Care Model compliance.
