Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the 5W Teaching and Innovation Unit in Boston, MA. This night shift role (24 Hours, Every 3rd Weekend) offers a collaborative, teaching-focused environment and opportunities to work with innovative patient care models.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, coordinate with the interprofessional team, and advance practice in a magnet-recognized, safety-net hospital dedicated to equitable care and staff development.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Massachusetts or ability to obtain one.
• 1+ year RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS in certain units.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred).
• Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Critical Care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and education.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and enter data in electronic systems.
• Follow guidelines and policies of BMC’s nursing organization.
• Support leadership in quality improvement projects.
