Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Michigan seeks a System Float Labor & Delivery RN for the Best Choice/MISS pool. This contingent position offers 72 hours per month with night shifts, and opportunities to float to multiple hospital locations within the HFH system.

You will provide nursing care across varied settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to patient care plans while maintaining high standards of safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• 2–3 years of recent clinical nursing experience in the area of practice.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Ability to formulate effective nursing care plans and communicate with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across varied settings as part of Best Choice/MISS.
• Float to locations based on staffing needs and patient census.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and document interventions appropriately.

Best Choice/MISS is a system-wide, contingent, float pool which offers the opportunity for an RN to work in a variety of settings throughout Henry Ford Health. Nurses working with us have the unique benefit of being exposed to various settings throughout Henry Ford Health because they float to where staffing needs are identified. This may be ongoing to fill an employee's hours that is on a leave of absence, call-ins, increase of census or to cover vacation requests. BestChoice/MISS offers flexibility, which allows an RN work-life balance, as your schedule is based around how often you want to work and requires minimal commitment.

Education/Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice and a demonstrated level of performance required.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Certifications/Licensures Required

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS.
• Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS where required.
• TB, vaccines (i.e., flu).
