Job summary

Henry Ford Health System is seeking an RN System Float Labor & Delivery for night shifts to support Best Choice/MISS across our network. This contingent pool provides exposure to multiple settings as staffing needs arise and offers online self-scheduling with flexible commitment.

Required are a nursing license in Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in nursing, plus 2–3 years of relevant clinical experience and willingness to float. Join HFHS as a valued team member.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two to three (2-3) years of recent related clinical nursing experience in the area of practice.
• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Handle nursing problems and practice across a variety of nursing situations.
• Identify patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient data.
• Perform nursing interventions and coordinate with care teams.
• Float to locations as staffing needs identified and as the role requires.

System Float Labor & Delivery RN
Contingent- 72 hours per month

Shifts Available: Midnights

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, demonstrates ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

This may be ongoing to fill an employee's hours that is on a leave of absence, call-ins, increase of census or to cover vacation requests.BestChoice/MISS offers flexibility, which allows an RN work-life balance, as your schedule is based around how often you want to work and requires minimal commitment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

• Willingness to float to multiple locations.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Current ACLS, NRP, EFM, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS where required.
