Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St Lucie is seeking an RN for the Surgical Telemetry unit on the 3rd floor. You will provide direct patient care for post-operative patients, perform wound care and assessments, administer medications, and contribute to care plans in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Days shifts 7:00 AM–7:30 PM with opportunities for ongoing education and committee involvement. Minimum RN licensure, BLS, and 1 year of acute care experience required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience (military RN experience considered)
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
