Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie is seeking an experienced RN to join the Telemetry/Neurology Unit on the night shift (7:00PM–7:30AM). You will provide direct nursing care, implement and adjust care plans, and educate patients and families while coordinating cross-disciplinary care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• One year of current acute care RN experience or licensed military RN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families, considering cultural issues and other special concerns.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.
