Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Stepdown unit on a night shift, full-time (36 hours/week).

A $20,000 sign-on bonus is offered for experienced RNs. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating patient care with other departments, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing

• Nursing Diploma

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure:

Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations.

Experience:

Previous hospital experience is preferred and may be required depending on the unit.

Certifications:

• Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education:BSN preferred

• Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred

• Experience:Prior experience in specialty area or similar clinical setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift

• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
