Job summary

Conway Regional is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative care for patients across age groups undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will participate as a circulating nurse, advocate for patients under anesthesia, ensure surgical asepsis, and position patients for safety and comfort.

Care will follow nursing process within Arkansas Nurse Practice Act and Health System policies. Active Arkansas RN license required; BSN preferred; if under 1 year as RN, BSN must be obtained

Qualifications

• Active Arkansas RN license required.
• BSN preferred; if less than 1 year of RN experience, must obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire.
• Certification preferred.
• Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education.
• Basic keyboarding skills, preferred.

Job description

Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) will assume responsibility and accountability for care of infants, children, adults, Geriatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. Care needs may range from those requiring outpatient and inpatient procedures. The RN will participate in circulating. The circulating nurse serves as an advocate for patient who is under anesthesia and/or sedation ensuring that surgical asepsis is adhered to during the surgical procedure and position the patient for safety and comfort. The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures and standards of the Health System. The RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.

Qualifications
