Job Summary and Qualifications

Perform direct patient care within the RN scope, focusing on Peri-operative and Surgical Services. Use therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, implement and evaluate care, provide emotional support, delegate tasks, participate in initiatives, supervise staff, and provide high-quality age-specific care for patients from infants to geriatrics. Support organizational mission, vision, and values. Manage pre and post-surgical care, monitor airway and pain, interpret EKG and labs, and administer high-risk therapies. Develop surgical plans and, after competency verification, may perform conscious sedation and blood product administration.

Qualifications Needed

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment.
• RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Services experience.
