Job summary

Clallam County Public Hospital District No. 2 (DBA Olympic Medical Center) in Port Angeles, WA, is seeking an experienced RN for the Surgical Unit.

You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients across pediatric to geriatric ages, while guiding Surgical Technicians and support staff. The role requires a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, valid Washington RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Minimum one-year of recent surgical experience preferred.
• Current Washington State RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care in the surgical unit.
• Promotes continuity of care and supervises Surgical Technicians and ancillary staff.
• Participates in patient and family teaching.
• Maintains standards for professional nursing practices.
