Job summary

Olympic Medical Center on Washington’s North Olympic Peninsula is seeking an obstetrics RN for night shifts in the OB unit. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, while supporting continuity of care and supervising support staff.

Required: WA RN license and BLS; NRP within 6 months; Fetal Monitoring training within 6 months or at orientation start. Associate degree required; BSN preferred; 2 years OB hospital experience preferred. Shift differenitals apply.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a hospital obstetrics setting preferred.
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
  • Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire, for experienced labor nurses or at start of orientation.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within OMC’s OB unit.
  • Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit by providing direct patient care as well as supervising care by support staff.
  • Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and Olympic Medical Center.
  • Cares for patients under crisis or emergency situations.

Shift Differentials/Premiums

Weekend & Holiday Shifts:

  • Shift Differentials
  • Evening - $3.00/hour
  • Night - $5.00/hour
  • Weekend - $4.50/hour

Premiums

  • Standby - $4.00/hour
  • Charge - $3.25/hour
  • Float - $2.50/hour
  • Per Diem - 15% (on rate of pay, in lieu of benefits)
  • Certification - $2.00/hour
  • Preceptor - $2.00/hour
  • San Exam - $500.00

Job Description Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within OMC’s OB unit. Promotes continuity of care for patients on the unit providing direct patient care as well as supervising the care given by support staff. Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing and Olympic Medical Center. Cares for patients under a variety of circumstances including crisis or emergency situations.

EDUCATION

Experience Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred.

Two Years Experience In a Hospital Obstetrics Setting Preferred.

LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS

  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire.
  • Fetal Monitoring within 6 months of hire for experienced labor nurses or within the start of labor and delivery orientation.
