Job summary

Olympic Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse on the North Olympic Peninsula in Washington. The role requires a Washington RN license, BLS/ACLS within 30 days, and PALS/ENPC within 6 months. Two+ years’ ER/ICU experience is preferred. The position features varied shifts with several premiums and a strong benefits package.

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Washington State RN license required.
  • BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire.
  • PALS and ENPC required within 6 months of hire.
  • PALS and ENPC both within 6 months preferred, or at least one within 6 months and both within 1 year.
  • TNCC required within six months of hire.
  • NIHSS required within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum two years’ experience preferred with Emergency and/or ICU experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the facility. Supports and promotes a positive image of professional nursing. Sees patients under a variety of circumstances. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Handles emergency or crisis situations.

Education
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing required.
Experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience preferred with Emergency and/or ICU experience.
Licensure/Credentials
  • Current Washington State RN license required.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 30 days of hire.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) required within 6 months of hire.
  • Preference for both PALS and ENPC within 6 months of hire, but required to have at least one within 6 months of hire, and both within 1 year of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required within six months of hire.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required within 30 days of hire.
