Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team. You will provide perioperative care, scrub and circulate, and support the surgeon throughout the operative procedure.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/ADN/BSN, active RN license, and BLS. Experience in perioperative nursing or completion of the hospital's residency is preferred. This is a full-time, day-shift role with competitive benefits.

About This Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at Cleveland Clinic’s Mercy Hospital, you will provide care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures, performing scrub and circulating functions while assisting the operating physician.

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
• Manage overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program) required.

Experience:

• One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
