Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is hiring an RN for the General OR on the Main Campus in Cleveland, OH. This full-time day-shift position supports the surgical team and delivers safe, compassionate patient care during complex procedures.

The role requires ADN or BSN, active RN licensure, and BLS; ACLS preferred within 6 months of hire. Relocation and loan repayment programs may be available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN required).
• RN licensure in good standing and BLS certification.
• ACLS preferred within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support patients before surgery.
• Maintain a safe and organized sterile environment.
• Assist during surgical procedures.
• Advocate for patients under anesthesia.
• Provide education and communication to patients and families.
• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting.
• Perform scrub functions, selecting and handling instruments.
• Perform circulating functions, monitoring and managing patient care.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks.
• Prepare the Operating Room and surgical equipment for use.

About This Role

What You’ll Do

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN required)

Experience:

• One year RN experience required or completion of Cleveland Clinic perioperative residency program

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred within 6 months of hire
