Job summary

Dignity Health's Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles County seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess patients, perform skilled procedures, and implement care plans within an interdisciplinary team.

Candidates must hold a California RN license, have at least 1 year in acute care, and maintain current BLS and ACLS. BSN preferred. LA Fire Care required within 90 days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to hospital policies and procedures and patient safety standards.
  • Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team and evaluates patient needs.
  • Performs skilled nursing procedures and implements care plans.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff during shifts.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional relationships with patients and families.

  • Adheres to established Hospital/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, Nurse Practices Act and Patient's Bill of Rights.
  • Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by regularly planning and evaluating the care of patients.
  • Establishes and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, patient family members, and the public as appropriate, while assuring confidentiality of all patient information.
  • Demonstrates effective nursing judgement and a working knowledge of the nursing process.
  • Provides guidance to interdisciplinary team members by supervising nursing interventions and assisting with related tasks.
  • Provides leadership by establishing priorities and coordinating nursing care.

We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. The most current information for new graduate (<12 months experience as an RN) and fellowship programs (>12 months experience as an RN) can be found at National Nurse Residency Program .

This position is represented by SEIU L121 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement

Job Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current California License required.
  • Bachelor’s degree / BSN Preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care OR
  • Current AHA BLS required.
  • Current AHA ACLS required
