Job summary

Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced setting. The role requires an active CA RN license, 1+ year of acute care experience, and proficiency with EHR systems such as Cerner or MediTech.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience in a specialty area.
  • Active California Registered Nurse license is required.
  • BLS/ACLS certification is required.
  • Fire Safety training completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience with EHR systems (Cerner, MediTech, etc.).
  • Progressive Care Certified Nurse credential upon hire.

    • Adheres to established Hospital/departmental policies and procedures, objectives, Quality Assessment and Improvement Program, legal, safety, environmental, infection control standards, Nurse Practices Act and Patient's Bill of Rights.
    • Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by regularly planning and evaluating the care of patients.
    • Establishes and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, patient family members, and the public as appropriate, while assuring confidentiality of all patient information.
    • Demonstrates effective nursing judgement and a working knowledge of the nursing process.
    • Provides guidance to interdisciplinary team members by supervising nursing interventions and assisting with related tasks.
    • Provides leadership by establishing priorities and coordinating nursing care.

    We are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. The most current information for new graduate (<12 months experience as an RN) and fellowship programs (>12 months experience as an RN) can be found at National Nurse Residency Program. This position is represented by SEIU L121 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

  • Job Requirements
    • Minimum one (1) year current acute care registered nursing experience in specialty area, upon hire.
    • Current and Active Registered Nurse: CA.
    • AHA Basic Life Support /Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
    • Fire Safety, within 90 Days.
    • Experience with EHR (Cerner, MediTech, etc).
    • Progressive Care Certified Nurse, upon hire.
