Role Overview:

The Float RN provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care across Med Surg, CDU, and observation units within a Magnet-designated facility. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver individualized care, using evidence-based practices aligned with professional standards and organizational policies.

• Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, ensuring cultural sensitivity and patient goals are prioritized.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Coordinate safe care delivery, promote respectful interdisciplinary communication, and support performance improvement initiatives. Participate in shared governance and foster a positive work environment.
• Professional Development: Complete competency assessments, serve as preceptor or mentor, and engage in ongoing education and research activities to maintain clinical expertise.
• Qualifications & Skills: Valid RN license, strong critical thinking, excellent communication, cultural competence, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Knowledge of current clinical standards and commitment to evidence-based practice are essential.
