Job summary

The Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis is hiring a full-time, day Registered Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical oversight, leadership, and supervision of nursing staff. Responsibilities include coordinating the IDT, ensuring CMS/VA compliance, infection control, assessing resident care needs, delivering skilled procedures, and coaching staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a skilled nursing facility AND either one year leading professional nursing staff OR six months supervising professional nursing staff.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to skilled nursing facilities and state survey.
• Excellent communication skills sufficient to convey information in various settings.
• Ability to supervise, coordinate, and direct employees and to develop quality patient care plans.
• Ability to understand and implement federal/state regulations and MDVA policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to RNs, LPNs, and HST/CNAs.
• Oversee nursing/clinical services in consultation with the ADON.
• Coordinate the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to meet CMS requirements and nursing standards.
• Ensure infection prevention and control practices and safe work standards.
• Assess and plan resident care needs.
• Deliver skilled procedures per standards of practice and regulations.
• Foster an inclusive, positive environment and coach staff.
