Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse Supervisor to provide clinical oversight, leadership, and supervision of nursing staff, ensuring safe, high-quality resident care in line with CMS and VA regulations.

The role emphasizes coordinating the IDT, infection control, documentation accuracy, and ongoing staff development while promoting safety and continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Minnesota Registered Nurse License.
• Two years of RN experience in a skilled nursing facility and either one year leading professional nursing staff or six months supervising professional nursing staff.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations for skilled nursing facilities and MDVA policies.
• Excellent communication skills sufficient for formal and informal settings.
• Ability to supervise, coordinate, and direct employees and develop quality patient care plans.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Current BLS or CPR certification or ability to obtain within probation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to RNs, LPNs, and HST/CNAs.
• Oversee nursing/clinical services in collaboration with the ADON.
• Coordinate IDT to ensure resident-centered care meeting CMS and VA standards.
• Ensure infection prevention and safe work practices.
• Assess and plan resident care needs.
• Deliver skilled procedures per standards and regulations; maintain documentation.
• Foster a positive team culture with coaching and accountability.
