Job summary

Wallowa Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee nursing care across departments, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. The role includes planning, implementation and evaluation of care plans, while adhering to Oregon nursing standards.

The ideal candidate will provide clinical guidance to RNs, CNAs and ED/OB staff, demonstrating strong leadership, judgment, and collaborative teamwork to support continuity of care within a nationally recognized facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Oregon RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of five (5) years of acute care nursing experience.
• ER and/or OB experience required or competency within six months.
• Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required; ACLS/PALS/TNCC preferred.
• Proficiency in nursing practice per Oregon Nurse Practice Act.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and decision-making.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• EHR and clinical systems proficiency.
• Ability to provide patient-centered care across diverse populations.
• Must pass background, drug screen and references.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate daily patient care operations, unit workflow and assignments.
• Participate in patient assessments, care plan development and evaluation.
• Serve as a clinical resource for decision-making and policy interpretation.
• Assist with staff education, training and orientation in ER and OB.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and nursing scope of practice.
• Respond to emergencies and lead during critical incidents.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital leadership to support continuity of care.
• Promote safety, accountability and professional growth.
