University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, an Athens, GA long-term care facility, seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee unit operations, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high-quality resident care during Monday–Friday 3pm–11pm. You will participate in admissions, coordinate care with the care team, and lead safety and regulatory compliance initiatives.
The role requires a GA RN license, 2+ years in long-term care, and strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills.
University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, a compassionate and clinically trained team, is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee all aspects of operating a unit within our long-term health care facility. As a vital member of our team, you will supervise nursing staff, monitor patient care, and ensure the highest level of quality care for our residents.
Oversee unit operations, implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective care
Assist with treatment and medication administration, ensuring compliance with regulations and protocols
Participate in Admissions, conducting thorough assessments and developing individualized care plans
Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings with the healthcare team
Conduct daily audits of new admission charts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Serve as a liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and care coordination
Investigate incident reports and follow up with necessary actions to prevent recurrence
Manage staff assignments and ensure quality of care, providing guidance and support as needed
Participate in weekly risk meetings to report on patient conditions and identify potential risks
Participate in annual evaluations of staff and provide constructive feedback for growth and development
Take on-call hours on weekends and holidays as assigned, ensuring prompt response to patient needs
Current RN license in the state of Georgia
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Prior administrative experience and training in both nursing and administration
Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in gerontology and rehabilitation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
