Job summary

Social Row Transitional Care in Centerville, Ohio seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee daily nursing activities during their tour of duty and ensure safe facility operations. This role directs day-to-day functions, ensures compliance with regulations, and reports to the Director of Nursing Services.

You will participate in QA/QI, infection control, safety programs, and surveys; admit/transfer/discharge residents; complete incident reports.

Qualifications

• Must have a nursing degree and an active RN license.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
• Knowledge of nursing/medical practices and laws pertaining to long-term care.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities and report to the Director of Nursing.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Participate in QA/QI, infection control, and safety programs.
• Participate in surveys by government agencies.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required with physician orders.
• Complete accident and incident reports and investigations.
• Maintain daily census via 24-hour reports.
• Notify DON/ADON of drug/narcotic discrepancies.
• Inform DON when personnel fail to report for work.
• Develop work assignments and assist in assignments.
