Qualifications

• Educational Background: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program with a current licensure in the state of Kansas.
• Leadership skills: Possess strong leadership abilities and a willingness to collaborate with both professional and nonprofessional personnel.
• Language proficiency: Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required RN record-keeping forms and charts during admission, discharge, transfer, and other events and file them in the chart or forward to relevant department.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by the physician.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, including arranging transportation and packing.
• Administer professional services as outlined by facility policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with facility consultants and implement changes under the DON guidance.
• Investigate and address complaints and grievances, with reports to the DON.
• Exchange nursing reports at shift changes.
• Conduct daily checks on residents to ensure treatments are administered correctly and assess wellbeing.
• Keep the DON informed about resident, staff, and related matters.
