Job summary

Regalcare, Meriden Health and Rehab in Meriden, CT is seeking an experienced RN leadership candidate to oversee nursing care, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. You will ensure quality documentation, timely medication administration, and smooth admissions, discharges, and transfers.

The role requires an active CT RN license, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience, with preference for long-term care and supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
• Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care for residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.
• Assess residents’ conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in medical records.
• Administer medications and treatments as required.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Provide guidance, support, and clinical direction to staff.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and assignment coverage.
• Monitor staff performance and address performance issues in accordance with facility policy and collective bargaining agreements, if applicable.
• Report incidents, accidents, and concerns to the DON/ADON.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
