Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and RN license in Alabama.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must possess computer skills and demonstrate proficiency with appropriate software.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units during the shift.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments, medications, and documentation.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing leadership about resident status and shift developments.
• Complete medication pass audits and document resident responses to care.
• Coordinate activities with staff and report any discrepancies to nursing leadership.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
